The sense of immersion—the feeling of losing track of time and space—is something all of us have experienced. Whether it is through a film, an interactive game, or hiking in a landscape, these immersive experiences have been sought after since the beginning of humankind to open our minds to new possibilities and expand perceptions of our world.
